Normal Activities of the Maina Parijat

The children’s clubs provide children an opportunity to meet and interact with each other, develop personality, explore their talents and potentialities. Children gather every Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning in a particular place like a school, club or community hall, etc. Children participate in activities, such as, quiz, drama, extempore speech, drawing, storytelling, sports and games, singing and dancing. Each Branch Maina Parijat has an Executive Body including an adult facilitator or `Parichalak’ to guide and help the children. The facilitator works on a voluntary basis and is selected by the Executive Body of the branch. The organisation is working both for school going and non-school going children. Many children come from very poor and underprivileged backgrounds, often grappling with challenges and have limited opportunities.
